Velvet Chair Girl is a leader of the Galactic Superhero Corps, No. 6 in the Galactic Ranking, and a boss in No More Heroes III. She controls a pink bioweapon known as Ohma.
Appearance[]
Velvet Chair Girl takes on the appearance of a highly-fashionable, alluring, and mystical woman, sporting circular spectacles with her bangs draping her right eye. She wears a beady face covering; similar to traditional Arabic dancers. She's never without her pet bioweapon Ohma, whom is capable of mass devastation and abstract alteration of living beings at her command. As per her namesake, she bethrones a luxurious floating velvet-lined chair.
Personality[]
Velvet Chair Girl maintains a mellow, nonchalant demeanor, and a mysterious persona. She's never heard speaking; instead seen to be preforming illegible sign language. She is followed by an entourage of abstract and bizarre entities. She seems to be very fond of Ohma, whom she securely embraces in her lap.

Powers and Abilities[]
Like her fellow GSC counterparts, Velvet Chair Girl is capable of levitating; being her particular means of mobility. She commands a pink gelatinous bioweapon known as Ohma, who is capable of unleashing a powerful long-range particle beam attack called "Gastro Cannon." Beyond terrestrial devastation, this beam is shown to have various bizarre effects on living targets, such as rendering them into flamboyantly animated forms that suit Velvet's ever-present party entourage.
Story[]
Velvet Chair Girl arrives with FU and the Galactic Superhero Corps to dominate the Earth. In an inaugural act of terror, FU commands Velvet to unleash Ohma's Gastro Cannon upon Santa Destroy.
During her ranking match with Travis, instead of a proper fight, the two play Musical Chairs along with some of her subordinates. When Travis bests her, Velvet Chair Girl drinks poison and kills herself. Because of this, Ohma is consumed with sadness and goes on a rampage until Travis defeats and kills it.
Trivia[]
- Various artistic aspects of Velvet Chair Girl, such as Travis being rendered in an "animated style" by Gastro Cannon, are illustrated by Tokyo-based art team AC-BU.
- It's presently speculated that Velvet may be mute and communicate through sign language. However, attempts at interpreting have been unfruitful. Ironically, several ASL signers have salvaged "B-L-A-H" from the sequence of otherwise gibberish, but this is speculated to be coincidental. International signers have been encouraged to attempt translations; particularly Japanese.
- Ohma shouts ADRIAN! before unleashing Gastro Cannon; this is possibly Velvet Chairgirl's real name, or likely a reference to Rocky Balboa's iconic shout.
- Ohma's name and powerful energy beam is likely a direct reference to "Miyazaki's Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" anime and manga. Ohma's name being taken from the name Nausicaa gives to the God Warrior in the manga, and Ohma's beam attack taking inspiration from the movie version of the God Warrior's blast. The style of a beam fired from the mouth leaving a trail which then explodes upwards, a style created for the film by key animation from Hideaki Anno.
