Power up parts

Power Up Parts are fictional items in the 2007 video game No More Heroes. They are specific crystal parts used in the construction of a beam katana. Exchanging the crystal parts inside the beam katana with purer crystals greatly increases the output between its emitter and receiver, resulting in a stronger blade and a more powerful beam katana altogether.

Power Up Parts for the Tsubaki series of beam katanas are easily identifiable by the amount of rings on the base of the crystal, one ring corresponding to the Tsubaki, two rings corresponding to the Tsubaki Mk-II and three rings corresponding to the Tsubaki Mk-III. It is uncertain how crystal parts for other beam katana models are identifiable, or if there even is such a way.

In the Trading Card Game[]

There is one trading card featuring the Power Up Parts in the Design Materials set, "Beam Katana Power Up Parts".
