Notorious, real name Sammy The South, is a professional wrestler and part-time superhero. He originates from Fire Pro Wrestling World, a game that Suda51 worked on. He was introduced in the Bubblegum Fatale DLC of Travis Strikes Back, and is a supporting character in No More Heroes III.

Appearance[]

Notorious is a well-built man with six-pack abs and dark skin. He wears a white tank top underneath a white trench coat with a red checkerboard pattern and a white thunderbolt on the back, gray pants, white shoes with yellow stripes, and a black mask with yellow lightning markings.

Personality[]

Notorious is one of the kindest of Travis' allies. He is well-spoken, polite, humble and has a strong sense of justice. He is very supportive of Travis, helping him work out on the beach and constantly encouraging him to do good.

Relationships[]

Powers and Abilities[]

Per his rank as the WWWWW Heavyweight Champion, he possesses superhuman strength. He is able to leap far higher than any normal human while aiming his heavy gun, the Akashic Cannon. He is also an excellent marksman.

Story[]

Fire Pro Wrestling World[]

Notorious is from the Fire Pro Wrestling World DLC scenario "Champion Road Beyond", written by Suda. He is the son of legendary wrestler Billy The South from Super Fire Pro Wrestling Special, and is the friendly rival of Sumio "Blade" Saeba in a tag-team called The Vanishing. He faced Sumio in the WWWWW Heavyweight Championship, defeating him to claim the champion title which he now holds.

Travis Strikes Back[]

No More Heroes III[]

Notorious appears during Travis' confrontation with Sniping Lee. He defeats Lee with a shot from his Akashic Cannon before Lee is able to shoot Travis. He and Travis then become acquainted with one another, with Travis expressing his excitement over meeting the WWWWW Heavyweight Champion.

During Travis's battle with the Mass-Produced Destroymen, Notorious appears from the sky, blasting the remaining Destroymen and shooting a hole into the Destroymen Factory. Once Travis defeats Destroyman True Face, he and Notorious go on a Rocky-esque montage on the beach where Notorious describes how he had been observing Destroyman for some time, describing him as a terrorist who took money from militaries in order to mass produce an army of Destroymen and take over the globe. He thanks Travis for the help, and the two celebrate by the ocean.

Notorious returns at the end of the game, shooting FU with his Akashic Cannon to help Travis.
