== Development ==
''World Ranker'' was announced in July 2011, when it was reported that Grasshopper had been working on a mobile ''No More Heroes'' title with Japanese social game developer DeNA. While the title was set to premier exclusively in Japan on DeNA's Mobage phone platform, SUDA51 was hopeful that the game would make enough impact to secure to a Western release later. "We're aiming to make it the social game with the most blood," SUDA51 added. The game first appeared on Android's Google Play marketplace on August 30, 2012, and two months later on the Apple Store in October. The game has since been delisted from both marketplaces and its official website has been taken offline.
