Midori Midorikawa is a leader of the Galactic Superhero Corps, No. 5 in the Galactic Ranking, and a boss in No More Heroes III.
Appearance[]
Personality[]
Midori Midorikawa is a young girl who hates the color green. She is cursed by the fact that not is she green in appearance, but her name also means green; her favorite color is red. She claims to be a "cleaner," but not the usual kind. The cleaning she does is to remove any bullying coming her way. Her introductions are long, wordy, and expository; she is prone to going on about stories that are only tangentially related to the matter at hand. She also has no patience for "otaku talk" and makes fun of Travis's tokusatsu-style armor transformations. In No More Heroes III, she claims to have gotten over her rebellious phase and now wears red clothing. She shows a level of care towards her sentient hands, who she considers her children; once defeated by Travis, she accepts her own death but asks him to spare her hands.

Powers and Abilities[]
Midori's powers are manifested through her hands. Her hands are sentient and rather grotesque, with eyes, mouths, arms, and personalities of their own; her right hand produces flame, and her left hand produces wind (and to a lesser extent, electricity). As No. 5 in the Galactic Ranking, she is quite powerful, and her attacks span a wide range.
Story[]
Red, Blue, and Green[]
Midori Midorikawa is from the short stories Red, Blue, and Green included in The Suda51 Official Complete Book. This puts her in the same universe as The Silver Case. In those stories, Midori was a disturbed high school girl who began murdering her fellow students, using mysterious powers in her hands that she held no control over. She was then approached by Kosuke Kurumizawa to join his Union, believing her powers could be useful if she learned to control them.
No More Heroes III[]
Midori Midorikawa appears in the universe of No More Heroes as part of the Galactic Superhero Corps. She has evidently learned to control her hand powers, and garnered enough attention for FU to offer her a place in his group. She and her boyfriend Kamui accepted, thinking of it as a casual affair to take advantage of FU's status.
FU attempts to meet with Midori for lunch before her scheduled fight with Travis Touchdown, like the rest of the Galactic Superheroes. She texts FU to cancel their meeting, having slept in too late. She also warns him to not take his anger out on Kamui, since he can't be killed.
Midori encounters Travis in a simulation of a bloody high school, leading him through it with a green flame. Once he finds her, she accidentally teleports them both to a quarry (meaning to teleport them to the roof of the school) for their battle. Travis ends the fight when he cuts off both her hands, but Kamui stops him from killing her.
Having survived the encounter, Midori appears alongside Kamui in the post-credits scene.
Trivia[]
- Midori Midorikawa has the most humanoid appearance of the Galactic Superhero Corps, appearing totally human apart from her arms.
- Originally, it was planned for Midori Midorikawa to be revealed as the daughter of Fleming, the main antagonist of Shadows of the Damned. However, when the Blackhole Prison scenario was cut from No More Heroes III, this fact was dropped. It is unknown if it remains canon.
