Jess Baptiste VI (ジェス・バディスト6世 Jessu Badistu VI), better known as FU, is a prince, the supreme leader of the Galactic Superhero Corps, No. 1 in the Galactic Superhero Rankings and is the primary antagonist in No More Heroes III. He is also an old childhood friend of Damon Riccitiello, who helped him return to his home planet 20 years ago.
Appearance[]
In his infant form, FU had a spherical form covered in white fur/wool with two pigtails. He had purple and black eyes, tiny golden horns, a mouth, and blue arms and legs.
After twenty years, FU has grown into a much more imposing form. He has a tall, blue humanoid figure, taller than most humans and rather slender. He has white markings all over his body, and crown-like horns that form a V shape on his head with eyeballs that move independently. His hair is tied into several giant braids, the largest ones at the back of his head. His face has black oval patterns on the cheeks and green lips. He wears a long red and turquoise cape, red pants with white stripes and fluorescent markings on the crotch area, and pointy purple boots.
When FU goes mad, his body grows purple eyes with black sclera and golden eyelids all over his body, his braids are undone, giving him a wild appearance. His horns grow larger, sharper and more twisted. He no longer has his cape, and his hands and feet turn into golden claws and talons.
For his final battle, FU's power goes out of control and twists his appearance to an even more extreme degree. He becomes a giant web of hair with golden branches, eyeballs, and shattered multi-colored mirrors. In the center of the web is a golden twisted horn with many uneven eyes around it. From time to time, he will expose his limbs; his arms are completely golden and his legs fully change into twisted talons covered in eyes. He harbors a twisted smile across his face, no nose, and all the eyes on his "crown" and his face merge together.
Personality[]
As a child, FU was innocent and immature. He was selfish and gluttonous, but only in a childish way. He seemed to value his friendship with Damon, but only wished to return home.
After growing up in space, FU returns to the Earth as a psychopathic egomaniac willing to cause destruction and mayhem only for the thrill of it. He reveals to Damon that he even wanted to conquer Earth as a child, and is still bent on fulfilling that goal. Ironically, FU's self-summation is correct: he is still just like the child Damon met, acting exceedingly immature and irresponsible.
Notably, FU has a very twisted vision of what a "superhero" is. In his mind, a superhero is someone who can do whatever they want as long as they're cool enough. Similar to Travis at the beginning of No More Heroes, FU is overly prideful and claims to be incapable of experiencing fear. Despite this, he is still very susceptible to his emotions and can get carried away in violent tantrums when things aren't going his way, even killing his own men in the process. This immature recklessness belies his true intelligence, as he was able to easily discern Damon's true motives to finding Travis, and he was wise enough to attempt a retreat (albeit a failed one) once his life endangered.
In spite of his friendship with Damon, he belittles and mocking his childhood friend, showing that he has no appreciation for those who trust him. He treats his subordinates akin to friends whenever he is in a cheery mood, talking aptly with his fellow aliens and even eating out with them. He casually plays off the death of Mr. Blackhole, but how he goes out of his way to kill Travis' friend Badman to get even shows how much it truly bothered him. However, he will not hesitate to kill servants he deems useless or annoying. This shows he has a warped and selfish perception of others. He has no respect for authority of any kind, and is incredibly selfish.
Relationships[]
Galactic Superhero Corps[]
- Main article: Galactic Superhero Corps
FU's relations with a lot of his comrades are abusive in different ways, with a few exceptions, the galactic ranking could be seen as a gauge of how close FU is to each of them.
Paradox Bandit[]
- Main article: Paradox Bandit
FU's relationship with Paradox Bandit is largely unknown, although it can be assumed they were fairly close, judging by how he's number two on the ranking (Above Sonic Juice, and directly below FU). But when FU saw Paradox Bandit sleeping, he was quick to bash his head in in a blind rage.
Sonic Juice[]
- Main article: Sonic Juice
Much like Gold Joe, FU has known Sonic Juice for a long time. Unlike Gold Joe however, their relationship is significantly stronger. FU has more deeper conversations with Sonic Juice compared to the other aliens, and he's taken aback when Sonic Juice suggests giving up on conquering earth, in a way Sonic Juice is like something of a moral compass to FU. Although despite their long history, once FU felt betrayed by Sonic Juice, he was quick to execute him.
Sniping Lee[]
- Main article: Sniping Lee
FU's relationship with Sniping Lee isn't very deep, Lee showers FU with nothing but positivity in praise, he has no advice and no story to tell. In accordance with that, FU has nothing interesting to tell him or say to him, he gives him tonkatsu but that's about it. Their relationship is very shallow compared to the rest of the aliens.
Midori Midorikawa[]
- Main article: Midori Midorikawa
Similarly to Velvet Chair Girl, Midori only interacts with FU once over the course of the game, and even than it's only over text. Midori is also not attentive, but to an even bigger degree than VCG. Out of all the alien superheroes, She's the only one FU doesn't have any power over.
Velvet Chair Girl[]
- Main article: Velvet Chair Girl
Velvet Chair Girl never interacts with FU, but from what can be gleamed, FU is on the receiving end of Velvet Chair Girl's constant inattentiveness. Mostly just leading to his annoyance.
Vanishing Point[]
- Main article: Vanishing Point
FU doesn't like Vanishing Point, but he doesn't outright hate him, things between them are a lot more casual than the other aliens. Vanishing Point is straightforward and honest with FU, giving him advice on how to be a leader, even though FU doesn't take that advice to heart. They agree to stay honest with each other, seemingly reaching some kind of understanding with one another.
Black Night Direction[]
- Main article: Black Night Direction
While they didn't interact much, FU and Black Night Direction seemingly had a decent relationship. FU seemed curious about BND's memories, and was seemingly touched by his story about his trip to the ocean, even suggesting that they should go out and find the lighthouse BND mentioned. Although FU was unable to fulfil this promise, as BND was swiftly killed by Native Dancer.
Gold Joe[]
- Main article: Gold Joe
FU and Gold Joe have known each other for a long time, but despite that long history, the two don't seem very close. FU calls Gold Joe a "Good Friend", something which Gold Joe acts surprised about, almost as if he thought FU saw him more as a servant than a friend. Combined with their interactions, with Joe usually being a suck-up, it's hard to tell whether FU actually sees Joe as a friend or more of a utility.
Mr. Blackhole[]
- Main article: Mr. Blackhole
Despite calling him his "buddy", FU shows little, if any regard for Mr. Blackhole. The most notable example being how FU seemingly singlehandedly destroyed Blackhole's planet and massacred his people, but smaller examples also point to this, such as Blackhole being the lowest ranked of the Galactic Superheroes. When being informed of Blackhole's death, FU laughs and writes it off.
Damon Riccitiello[]

Travis Touchdown[]

Powers and Abilities[]
As the no.1 of the Galactic Superhero Corps, FU is undoubtedly the strongest amongst his fellow aliens and the strongest enemy Travis Touchdown has ever faced. He is strong enough to crush human skulls, swat nuclear missiles as if they were flies. He is also incredibly durable, shown where he tanked Badman's specially made baseball bat and possessed superhuman-like healing factor, reattaching his split head after getting cut off and getting his neck broken.
He is also capable of energy manipulation, shown how he fired balls of energy at Travis and body manipulation as he was able to grow sharp claws and transform into a more bestial version of himself. He is also capable of using his own hair as projectiles weapon and turning into a massive domes.
Story[]
History[]
As an infant, FU's spaceship crash-landed on the Earth. He was found by the young Damon Riccitiello, who took him in without his parents knowing. While searching for a way to return FU to his planet, Damon and FU became friends. After discovering a piece of alien technology at FU's crash site, Damon was imbued with alien powers and assisted FU in building a rocket. Once it was finished, they said goodbye, with FU promising to return in twenty years. FU escaped just as government agents arrived to capture him.
After returning to space, FU grew up and became incredibly powerful. His reckless behavior got him court marshaled for annihilating a planet, and he was sent to Blackhole Prison for it. There he met and befriended a multitude of other powerful prisoners, and they formed an alliance.
No More Heroes III[]
Twenty years after his departure, FU broke out of Blackhole Prison with his new friends and returned to Earth, visiting Damon above Santa Destroy. He revealed his intention to conquer the Earth with Damon's help by making Velvet Chair Girl and Ohma annihilate the people on the streets of Santa Destroy. Realizing how popular superheroes are on the Earth, FU declares he and his group will utilize superheroism as a means of world domination. He starts his own association called the Galactic Superhero Corps and challenges anyone to face them for the fate of the planet.

Trivia[]
- In the second half of No More Heroes III's trailer at the 2019 Video Game Awards, FU and his alien cronies are rendered in cel-shaded 3D animation while Damon and other humans are hand-drawn 2D animation. This emphasizes their alien nature and otherness on the Earth.
- FU's name may be a play on E.T., due to the similarity of their stories as aliens who are found by children. F and U are the letters that come after E and T, respectively, in the Latin alphabet.
- FU sounds like "F you" when pronounced as an initialism rather than an acronym. This is a profane phrase in English, short for "fuck you."
